On August 15, Mher Grigoryan, the Deputy Prime Minister of Armenia, stated that the accelerated formation of common energy markets in the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU) would serve as the foundation for equitable conditions for economic activity. He made the remarks during a meeting of the Eurasian Intergovernmental Council in Kyrgyzstan.

Grigoryan emphasized that the "further formation of common energy markets of the Union and ensuring energy security remain a priority for Armenia". He underlined that the accelerated development of these markets on non-discriminatory principles should guarantee equal conditions for all EAEU member states. The deputy prime minister also highlighted the importance of cooperation between the member states' customs services and relevant commissions in monitoring the customs declaration of taxable goods. He explained that such cooperation was an important mechanism for ensuring proper control over their value, which directly influences state budget revenues.

Grigoryan added that significant progress had been achieved through joint efforts to ensure the sustainable functioning of the EAEU common market for medical products and devices. As a result, he noted, a common market for the circulation of medicines would begin operating next year.
