Armenia’s Foreign Trade Turnover Drops 41.4% in Early 2025
On August 25, the Statistical Committee of Armenia reported that the country’s foreign trade turnover in January–July 2025 decreased by 41.4% compared to the same period in 2024, totaling 4.5 trillion drams ($11.538 billion). According to the data, Armenian exports fell by 48.3% in the first seven months of the year, amounting to 1.771 trillion drams ($4.545 billion). Imports declined by 35.8% to 2.728 trillion drams ($6.992 billion).
June showed the best performance, with a drop of only 0.2%, while in July, the foreign trade turnover fell by 14.3% compared to the same month in 2024. The report highlighted that the construction sector recorded growth of 20.2%, while the industrial sector saw a decline of 9.8%. Overall, the economic activity indicator stood at 7%.
