
Azerbaijan's Gas Exports to Europe Increase by 10.5% in 2024

On September 10, Azerbaijan's Energy Ministry reported that the country exported 8.4 billion cubic meters of natural gas to Europe in the first eight months of 2024, reflecting an increase of 10.5%, or 0.8 billion cubic meters, compared to the same period in 2023.
In total, Azerbaijan exported 16.4 billion cubic meters of natural gas between January and August 2024, representing a 3.1% rise compared to the previous year. During this period, Azerbaijan supplied 6.5 billion cubic meters of gas to Turkey, marking a slight decrease of 0.2 billion cubic meters year-on-year, while exports to Georgia remained unchanged at 1.5 billion cubic meters.
Additionally, around 3.7 billion cubic meters of gas were transported to Türkiye via the Trans-Anatolian Gas Pipeline (TANAP), which saw a decline of 2.6%, or 0.1 billion cubic meters, compared to the same period last year.
