On May 22, Nikolai Rogashchuk, the Ambassador of Belarus to Georgia, announced that Minsk and Tbilisi were discussing the establishment of a business cooperation council to enhance bilateral trade and regional partnerships.
During his statement, Rogashchuk highlighted the importance of developing trade and economic relations, noting that increasing trade turnover and expanding the supply of Belarusian goods to the Georgian market remained key priorities for the embassy. He emphasized that Belarus and Georgia maintain strong regional ties, which require further strengthening through localized cooperation.
Rogashchuk revealed that the Georgian side, through business circles, had proposed creating a business cooperation council. He stressed, "Businesses always reach agreements faster than officials," and stated that the Belarusian side would support the council’s formation. He concluded by noting that this initiative would positively impact the export of Belarusian goods to Georgia.
