
EU Ambassador Emphasizes EU’s Close Monitoring of Ruben Vardanyan’s Hunger Strike and Armenia Relations

On March 2, EU Ambassador to Armenia Vasilis Maragos reaffirmed the European Union’s commitment to strengthening ties with Armenia.
Maragos stated that both EU member states and the private sector were closely following Armenia’s political and economic developments. He emphasized that the relationship between Armenia and the EU was stronger than ever.
Regarding the situation of Ruben Vardanyan, who was on a hunger strike in Baku, Maragos assured that the EU was closely monitoring developments. He reiterated the EU’s expectation of a fair trial and respect for human rights.
