The European Union Monitoring Mission in Armenia (EUMA) has reiterated its commitment to maintaining stability along the Armenia–Azerbaijan border.

“Around the clock, our patrols monitor the Armenian side of the border with Azerbaijan, committed to observing the situation on the ground and supporting stability in the region,” EUMA stated in a post on X.

Launched in 2023 at Armenia’s request following Azerbaijani incursions, EUMA is a civilian mission responsible for monitoring the security situation and reporting on developments along Armenia’s internationally recognized borders.

In January 2025, the EU extended EUMA’s mandate by two years, underscoring Brussels’ long-term investment in regional peace and security in the South Caucasus.
