On March 6, a fight broke out in the Georgian parliament. Khatuna Samnidze, the chairman of the Reform Group opposition group, said she was removed from hearings on the bill on foreign agents for a poster about a Russian ship.

A fight broke out after the legal committee chairman called for the removal of several deputies from the hall because they were shouting. On Samnidze's poster, in particular, an obscene expression was written. Part of the protesting opposition was withdrawn, and the session was adjourned.

The action against the adoption of the law on foreign agents also continues on March 6 near the parliament building.

As previously reported by Caucasus Watch, on February 14, members of the "People's Power" faction, founded by the MPs who left the Georgian Dream party, announced that they had drafted a bill on the operations of foreign-funded organizations and would formally register it in parliament in the coming days. While opposition lawmakers questioned the modifications, Georgian Dream parliamentarians backed the idea.
