Georgia Approves Generator Transfer to Ukraine; Kobakhidze Reaffirms Commitment to European Integration
On October 31, Irakli Kobakhidze, the Prime Minister of Georgia, signed an order approving the transfer of generators to Ukraine. According to the official document, the Georgian Energy Development Fund was instructed to purchase various types of generators worth 1.5 million lari (over USD 500,000) for delivery to Ukraine. Commenting on Georgia’s European integration course, Kobakhidze emphasized that the country’s policy toward the European Union remained unchanged. "If the European Union moves toward a pragmatic policy, that would be very good. If not, then we will follow the process we have followed so far. We are waiting for 2030 and hope that the European bureaucracy will have changed its approach by then," the Prime Minister stated.
