Irakli Kobakhidze Denies Further Development of Relations with Russia

On 20 June, Irakli Kobakhidze, the leader of the ruling Georgian Dream party, said that Georgia does not have a special representative for trade and economic relations with Russia and will not go beyond the boundaries of established relations with the Russian Federation.
According to him, earlier information was also spread that Georgia had a special representative for trade and economic relations with Russia, which turned out to be a farce and a lie.
"We have trade and economic relations and we do not go beyond that. There are specific channels of communication, there is a special representative. That is the only channel of communication we have with Russia. It is about trade, economic and humanitarian issues. These are the issues on which relations are focused," Kobakhidze stressed.
