Kadyrov Announces Harsh Measures for Women Drug Traffickers
During a meeting with law enforcement officials on March 22, Chechen leader Ramzan Kadyrov announced that women involved in drug trafficking will no longer receive leniency.
"We will no longer differentiate between men and women who are involved in selling narcotic substances. Chechen women who engage in drug trafficking will now face imprisonment without exception. In the past, we refrained from incarcerating women due to societal perceptions, but this will change. There will be no leniency," the regional leader stated.
Kadyrov emphasized the urgency of addressing drug-related issues, citing parental concerns about the accessibility of drugs to their children. He asserted the need for decisive measures to combat drug trafficking and protect the community from its harmful effects.
