On November 24, during an interview with Fox News, Mark Rutte, the NATO Secretary General, expressed confidence that the Ukrainian-Russian proposal supported by US President Donald Trump would ultimately lead to lasting peace. He stated, "It always takes two to tango, but everything starts with a plan, and it all starts with the president, President Trump, who wants to end this, as he did with Pakistan, India, as he did so successfully with Gaza, as he virtually eliminated Iran's nuclear potential, as he did between Armenia and Azerbaijan".

During an interview with the European Service of Radio Free Europe/Radio Liberty, Mark Rutte stated that Armenia and Azerbaijan were in a much better position than Georgia. He noted that NATO remained concerned about developments in Georgia and had conveyed this clearly to the Georgian side. Rutte urged a broader regional perspective, stating that developments between Armenia and Azerbaijan appeared more promising, "thanks in part to what President Trump is doing".
