In response to a question from American journalist Tucker Carlson regarding US Senator Chuck Schumer's remarks about funding Ukraine on February 9, Russian President Vladimir Putin stated, "Georgia has the third largest number of foreign mercenaries fighting on the side of the Kyiv regime."

"I do not understand why American soldiers have to fight in Ukraine. There are mercenaries from the United States there. Most of all mercenaries from Poland, in second place, are mercenaries from the United States, and in third place are mercenaries from Georgia," Putin emphasized.

According to Putin, the deployment of regular troops from any country could escalate tensions and push humanity toward a global conflict. He questioned the necessity for the United States to engage in military action in Ukraine, given its geographical distance from American territory.

"Does the United States need this? What for? Thousands of kilometers away from the national territory! Do you have nothing to do? You have problems on the border, problems with migration, problems with the national debt - 33+ trillion dollars. You have nothing to do - do you need to fight in Ukraine?" Putin queried.
