Tightened quarantine rules in Azerbaijan beginning September 1
From September 1, COVID-19 passports are required for all people over the age of 18 who want to go to public catering establishments, hotels and large shopping centers in Azerbaijan.
In addition, COVID-19 passports will be required for all individuals over the age of 18 studying at higher and secondary vocational education institutions.
The decision signed by Prime Minister Ali Asadov last month will take effect on September 1.
The decision also states that from September 1 this year, at least 80 percent of government employees, all medical and pharmaceutical institutions and all scientific and educational institutions (regardless of employment or civil contract) will receive the first dose of a COVID-19 vaccine. Beginning October 1, the second dose or a certificate of immunity against COVID-19 is required.
