Azerbaijani Forces Fire on Excavator in Syunik Province
On August 4, the Armenian Defense Ministry reported that at approximately 1:10 p.m., units of the Azerbaijani armed forces opened fire on an excavator performing construction work on inter-position roads near the Verishen settlement in Syunik Province. The ministry stated that there were no casualties and urged the Azerbaijani side to conduct an investigation.

Azerbaijan and Pakistan Deepen Naval Cooperation
On August 4, Colonel General Karim Valiyev, First Deputy Minister of Defense of Azerbaijan, met with Admiral Naveed Ashraf, Chief of the Naval Staff of Pakistan, in Baku. The discussions underscored the importance of joint exercises in enhancing the professionalism of both countries' naval personnel. On August 6, the Pakistani delegation met with Captain 1st Grade Shahin Mammadov, Commander of the Azerbaijan Navy, to discuss the future development of bilateral naval cooperation and the exchange of experience between warship crews.
Military Truck Hits Mine in Kalbajar Region
On August 5, at approximately 7:05 p.m., a military truck struck a mine planted by Armenian armed forces during a supply mission in the Kalbajar region. The explosion injured four servicemen of the Azerbaijan Army, who were promptly evacuated to a medical facility. Their conditions were reported as stable.
International Exercises
On August 7, a group of servicemen from the Azerbaijan Army participated as observers in the Agile Spirit 2025 exercise in Georgia. The exercise aimed to enhance combat readiness and interoperability among the United States, NATO members, and partner countries. On the same day, another group of Azerbaijani servicemen, including commandos and a military orchestra, departed for Pakistan to take part in a military parade celebrating Pakistan’s Independence Day.

Local and International Exercises
From August 4 to 6, the multinational exercise Agile Spirit 2025 was held in Georgia, concluding with a closing ceremony in Vaziani. The exercise, which involved military personnel from Georgia, the United States, Türkiye, and eight other countries, included medical field training, live-fire drills, and air evacuation exercises using Georgian and Turkish helicopters. The drills aimed to increase readiness and operational capabilities among participating forces.
On August 10, the graduation ceremony for the International Sniper Course was held at the Special Operations Command Base in Mukhrovani. The two-week course, led by Georgian instructors, included servicemen from Georgia, the United States, Great Britain, France, Romania, Poland, Belgium, and Türkiye. The course aimed to deepen cooperation with NATO and partner military institutions.
