
Yerevan and Tehran Stage First Coordinated Military Drill

Special units of the armed forces of Armenia and Iran are conducting a two-day joint military exercise, titled the “Military Exercise of Peace,” in the border zone between the two countries, the Iranian Embassy in Yerevan announced.
The exercise, held on Thursday and Friday, is taking place simultaneously on both sides of the Armenia-Iran border under unified command.
According to the embassy’s statement, the main objectives of the drill are to enhance border security, increase readiness to address potential threats, maintain stable peace, and deepen military and defense cooperation between the two countries.
“This two-day joint military exercise demonstrates the commitment of Armenia and Iran to strengthening strategic relations, ensuring peace, and establishing regional security,” the Iranian diplomatic mission emphasized.
