Azerbaijani Energy Minister Parviz Shahbazov wrote on his Twitter account that in 2022, 26.3 million tons (80.7%) of the 32.6 million tons of oil produced in Azerbaijan were exported.
He said that in this period, 22.3 billion cubic meters (47.75%) of the 46.7 billion cubic meters of gas produced, an increase of 6.5%, were exported.
Notably, oil produced from the "Azeri-Chirag-Guneshli" field block and condensate produced from the "Shahdeniz" field is transported from Azerbaijan through the Baku-Tbilisi-Ceyhan pipeline. In addition, oil is transported through the pipeline from Turkmenistan, Kazakhstan, and Russia.
Moreover, natural gas volumes are delivered to the Turkish market through the South Caucasus Pipeline (Baku-Tbilisi-Erzurum) and TANAP. The first gas entered the Turkish market through the Baku-Tbilisi-Erzurum pipeline in 2007. Commercial gas transportation to Turkey through TANAP started on June 30, 2018.
