Dagestan and Azerbaijan Explore Industrial Cooperation Opportunities
On May 22, Haji Sultanov, Minister of Economy and Territorial Development of the Republic of Dagestan, Russia, led a delegation to Azerbaijan’s Sumgayit Chemical Industrial Park for discussions on industrial cooperation and investment opportunities.
During the visit, Agil Azizov, Deputy Chairman of the Board of the Economic Zones Development Agency (EZDA) under Azerbaijan’s Ministry of Economy, briefed the delegation on the operations of the industrial zones managed by the agency, their accomplishments, and ongoing projects. Dagestani business representatives were encouraged to explore the favorable investment prospects offered within these industrial zones.
Following the meeting, the delegation toured the Azerbaijan-Russia Joint Industrial Zone, currently under construction on a 10-hectare area of the park, and visited the facilities of Sumgayit Chemical Industrial Park residents engaged in steel pipe manufacturing and polymer materials processing.
