Israeli Parliamentary Delegation Visits Azerbaijan
On June 5, Jeyhun Bayramov, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Azerbaijan, received the delegation of the Israeli Knesset, the Press Office of the Azerbaijani Foreign Ministry reported.
The delegation led by Yuli Edelstein, the chairman of the Knesset Foreign Relations and Defense Committee, was also represented by Sara Zwebner, the head of the committee on diplomatic affairs, and Ram Ben Barak, a committee member.
Minister Jeyhun Bayramov noted with satisfaction that the relations developed in various fields during the past 30 years since the establishment of diplomatic relations have reached the level of strategic partnership. Referring to his official visit to the State of Israel in March, Minister Jeyhun Bayramov noted that mutual visits, political dialogue, and close contacts play an important role in the development of relations.
Azerbaijan and Israel have ties in economy, security, energy, culture, humanitarian, and innovations. It was pointed out that the bilateral cooperation agenda, mutually beneficial relations, and the efficiency of parliamentary diplomacy are the result of the efforts made by the countries.
Yuli Edelstein, chairman of the committee, spoke with satisfaction about the development of relations between Azerbaijan and Israel based on mutual respect, support, and friendship and expressed his belief that the opening of the Embassy of Azerbaijan in Israel will serve to strengthen relations further.
