Georgian President Salome Zourabichvili has been denied public speeches at the country's universities. The student movement "For Freedom" said that the state universities of Tbilisi, Kutaisi, and Zugdidi refused lectures of President Salome Zourabichvili, the newspaper notes.

Shalva Kirtadze, the Rector of the Akaki Tsereteli State University, said that now is a very inappropriate time for such events. "The university is in exam period, there are no lectures, students do not attend, and children come only for exams. After exams, they go back home to study. So, this is an undesirable period for such an event," Kirtadze said.

"Now students should concentrate on their studies," Kirtadze emphasized, noting that he would refuse lectures to any other politician, including the Prime Minister, if he decided to address students soon.
