
Putin and Kadyrov Discuss Socio-Economic Situation in Chechnya, Exchange Eid Greetings

On June 28, the head of Chechnya, Ramzan Kadyrov, announced that he had met with Russian President Vladimir Putin the day before and posted a selfie with the president on social networks.
"Our President Vladimir Vladimirovich Putin is very respectful of the Muslims of our great, great, and friendly country. The day before, at our meeting, I reported on the socio-economic situation in the Chechen Republic. We also discussed long-term plans and achievements of the region," Kadyrov said. "At the end of the meeting, Vladimir Vladimirovich asked me to convey my sincere congratulations to all Muslims on the occasion of the advent of the Eid al-Adha holiday, to convey wishes of happiness, kindness, peace, and prosperity!" he said.
According to Kadyrov, the Supreme Commander-in-Chief asked separately to congratulate the fighters serving in the "special military zone." "I wished the guys success, good luck, and speedy completion of their tasks," he added. "It is with great joy that I carry out this honorable mission and join the wishes of Vladimir Vladimirovich! Happy holiday! May Eid al-Adha fill the hearts of all believers with happiness and peace!" Kadyrov concluded.
