Armenia’s Deputy Minister of Defense, Arman Sargsyan, presented a legislative initiative to the National Assembly (NA) to ratify an agreement between the Armenian and Greek governments on technical-military cooperation. The agreement, signed on December 14, 2023, in Athens, aims to expand and deepen technical-military cooperation between the two nations.

Sargsyan outlined the agreement’s key objectives, which include defining the directions of cooperation in the technical-military sector, the process of training necessary specialists and technical personnel, and assisting organizations operating within this sector. The agreement also specifies the means of implementing this cooperation.

The NA Standing Committee on Defense and Security has already debated and approved the initiative. Sargsyan urged Armenian MPs to support the ratification of this agreement, emphasizing its importance for strengthening Armenia’s technical-military capabilities and fostering closer ties with Greece.
